Orlando Cup - Round 6

Q: What was your mindset heading into this race? Keep calm. Don’t get greedy on the moves. Simple as that. Q: Did you change anything in your prep this time around? Yeah, I made sure everything was charged — camera batteries, transponder, MyChron. I didn’t want to be scrambling when I got to the track. IYKYK. Q: What were your goals going into the weekend? I wanted a top ten finish. That would put me in the top half of the field. Didn’t quite hit it, but that was the target. Q: How did qualifying go? Any traffic issues?Nope, clean lap, no traffic. I qualified ninth, maybe about eight-tenths off P1. Q: Were you happy with P9?Not really. I know I could’ve been further up. But starting 9th means you're on the inside, so that’s a small plus. Q: Biggest takeaway from this race? Learning where to pass and where not to. If you overslow the kart, you lose momentum, but if you sit behind someone too long, the whole pack catches you. Q: Was this race more about consistency, speed, or strategy? Speed.
